What is Family Law?

Family law encompasses the role of the family and the relationships therein. It covers a wide range of topics: children's rights and custody, divorce, and adoption are a few.

Traditionally, the family has been a private institute upon which the state and federal government did not interfere. However, today the state frequently becomes involved. Due to individual circumstances, the courts are required to intervene, making legal representation imperative.
